R&I on stage with Java guru


At this year's JavaOne conference, Fritjof Boger Engelhardtsen R&I Trondheim presented the activities within PlaySIM as part of James Gosling's Toy Show. Gosling is one of the inventors of Java and a guru in the industry. See the video from his Toy Show where Engelhardtsen on stage explain the future of SIM cards

The talk is the result of cooperation between Telenor and Sun Microsystems where the agenda has been to develop a platform that enables prototyping of new services on the SIM card.

JavaOne is an annual conference (since 1996) put on by Sun Microsystems to discuss Java technologies, primarily among Java developers. The conference is regularly held in San Fransisco, California, this year from June 1 - 5. According to its website, 15,000 people were attending the conference during the week.
